Coral, crustaceans, stingrays and eels! Oh my!

Yeah. That was lame. Sorry.

Friendly sting ray!

Some kind of big lobster.

An eel and anemones.

Giant Crabs

Giant deep sea isopod.

Shrimp (cannot recall what kind he had a funny name though)

A glowing anemone of some kind it was under black light.

I LOVE aquariums! Great pictures, especially as aquariums can be a challenge for pictures.

You got some great pictures! I love the aquarium! I wanted to be a marine biologist when I grew up, but I didn't like chemistry and biology in college, lol.

Your photos are awesome! I love aquariums, but my photos NEVER turn out as fantastic as yours! Wow!

Those are fantastic photos! What camera did you use?

Thanks everyone. I used my Olympus Evolt 510 with my Zuiko 14-42mm lens. I put the camera in apeture mode and then got right up to the glass to avoid reflection. No flash is ever allowed within the aquarium so I took hundreds of shots and most look bad! So for me the key was really just taking tons of shots. It was the first time I've used anything but auto on my camera too, it was fun!

Ooh, a giant isopod! I've never seen one of those in real life.

Great pics! Fascinating.

That is sure interesting how they generate (or whatever) coral!
A couple of questions:
1) how do YOU know the stingray was friendly? Did you exchange numbers? email addresses?
2) How cool was it to walk over the top of the "ocean floor"?
You are getting so good at your camera!

I love aquariums so much. I think it's because of my fear of deep water -- I can see stuff and still breathe. =) Plus I'm not allergic to aquatic animals! You have to take the kids to the Monterey Bay Aquarium some day, if you haven't already. Great pics!!
